How Does the Size of Pixels Affect What Can Be Seen in Digital Images?
Try making a picture when you may use only four large color squares to represent the image. Will people viewing your picture be able to see much detail? Use the links below to view the image with different size pixels–from very large pixels (2x2) to the finest pixels that were measured by the digital camera (in this case, 512x512 pixels).
You are not zooming into the picture when using finer and finer pixels, rather, there are a greater number of pixels available to show details.
