Links to Advanced Image Analysis Software

The software available on the previous page has been designed to teach basic concepts and skills involved in interpreting digital images. The image analysis programs (MVHimage, LandSatAnalysis, and VegetationAnalysis) provide a basic set of tools, which may be used flexibly on a wide set of digital images.

As you feel comfortable with using the basic tools and would like to use more advanced image analysis tools, consider using the following software programs.

Multispec is a powerful, research level set of remote sensing visualization and analysis tools. Developed and supported by Purdue University. Separate programs for Macs and PCs.

ImageJ was developed by the National Institute of Health to meet the medical field's visualization and analysis needs. Software is written in Java, which run on both Macs and PCs.
