Saving Pictures
The following image processing programs available on the Free Software page allow you to save modified pictures:
In all programs, go to the 'File Menu' and select 'Save Picture'. The following window will pop up:
First, make a new name for the picture being saved.
Next, decide what format you would like to save the picture: jpeg, pict, etc.
If saving as jpeg, click the 'Options...' button to set the quality of the saved picture.
The default quality to save jpegs is medium, and the resulting picture is of moderate quality. You need to do this each time you save a jpeg.
